McCabe's Guitar Shop Tonight

I am excited as a chihauha on acid to be kicking off my 3 month tour at McCabe's Guitar Shop this evening. This is one of my favorite places to play in Los Angeles. Many of the folks I adore have played here. We're taliking Joni Mitchell, Frank Black, They Might Be Giants, Bob Dylan, Chet Atkins etc...

I have a feeling Doug Pettibone is going to show up fresh off his tour with Lucinda Williams. If this happens then look out. I will punch him in the face and make him play g minor scales all night.

The coolest thing about this spot is that you can see a show and buy some sort of guitar or banjo or just touch a mandolin with your grubby paws. I can spend hours in this place. It is like a museum.

This is a good place for all of you Southern California types to come say goodbye to me or just bring me chocolate chip cookies for my long long road trip I have ahead of me.

I think I'll even sell one of my guitars tonight since it is a guitar shop.

This truly is the official beginning of my Chinese Vacation tour. My cd will be out within the next 30 days.

Thanks for your support over the years.

I have had so much fun booking this tour, I feel like your mother sending you off into this big crazy world, I hope it is filled with many nice people. I want to remind you to mind your manners, change your oil , your underwear and eat organic as often as you can. Yoga is good and you can go far "pretending" to do shots. Buy some nice stationary and write thank you notes to the soundman and waitresses after the shows.Call in and tell us about the shows and do not be suprised if I show up somewhere to check on you and help you hand paint some merchandise.

GO STEVE from everyone at RajiWorld

Yay! I am so glad you are coming back this way Steve, I hate not being able to see you more. Maybe I will bring you chocolate chip cookies to the Berkeley show. :)

Good luck on your tour and let us know if you are driving through Santa Cruz on your way to Berkeley and SF next week and want to see more of our funky little hippie town!!

See you at the Starry Plough!

Am very bummed to be missing this! The place seems amazing, and I know that the performer is.

Plans were make, plans imploded. I even had the favorite babysitter lined up.

But hey, you'll be back in L.A. in like a year, right? Waaaahhhhhh.

P.S. Due to stunning self-involvment, the "Have a fabulous Chinese Vacation tour!" wishes were left out of the previous message. Please be advised to do so.
