should I eat this????

I just got home to my hotel from the show in Adelaide. This town rules! I am contemplating on whether or not I should eat this chicken schwarma kabab thingy with the spicy red sauce. Thanks everyone in A-Town for your new law that doesn't allow entertainers from the you-knighted states of America to purchase beers. You people are sick. I can't spend my money here. Every time I turn around someone is handing me a cerveza. This food may kill me but I need to catch an early flight to Melbourne for a show at a winery. This country is a mockery of a sham of a country posing as a country but really just wanting to have a good time. I am defecting tomorrow to the land of the Aussies.

Dear Twinkletoes,

Just remember you are what you eat. Did you know that it takes seven days to make rock candy? Be sure to soak your string or the crystals won't grow.

You sure are sweet,

dear mr. poltz...if you are still sitting there with that gunk in your hand, do not eat it...looks like a critter...i not eat it...just put it down...

popcorn is better. you can get it at the movies when you go see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. best movie i've seen in a long time. gotta get the soundtrack right now.

Oh my lord!!!!

Has anyone else seen Radiohead on their latest tour? I saw the first show in Sydney and it was really something else! They actually look like they are having fun nowadays as opposed to the 'refuse to smile' policy of a few years back.
Sorry Poltzians ... I just had to tell the world!!!
If you wanna read a review of the Poltz shows in Brisbane I found one on ... they are a weekly publication so it may have already been replaced.

What I probably shouldn't tell the world is that I paid $13 for two de alcoholised beers in a Kings Cross strip club! Goddamnit!!! The waitress chicky said 'Do you want a drink?', I said 'No thanks' then she said 'Well it's free entry into the club so you have to buy a drink' so I says 'Well I'll have two scotch and dry's then' and then she says 'well we only sell beer, wine and soft drink'. With a sigh I said well I'll have two Toohey's New then' thinking that'd be ok even though I had shifted onto the Scottish hyper sauce a few hours earlier. Then she says 'Sorry we only sell this beer and hold up this bottle of what looked to be some sort of European thing so I said 'sure whatever'.
She returns, I give her a twenty and she returns with shrapnel for change. I must've pulled some kinda face (a) by then I had discovered the 'de alcoholised' and '0.5%' indicators on the label and b) she gave me so little change ) because she said 'Hey, I TOLD you they were LIGHT!'. So I said 'Yeah but you didn't tell me that by Light you meant Beer Flavoured Piss Water' at which point she pulled a silly look and marched off to suckerpunch some other unlucky punks (Even though it happened to me I have to admit it WAS funny to watch ... the moment they realise what they have been sold is priceless, the unappreciative grunts when the waitresses return with their change is so damn funny!)
I tell ya .. none of those 'FREE' clubs must have liquor licences because they all try to pull the same scam!
Oh and just incase you are wondering ... I was only in the Cross cause I figured that if you go to Sydney that's just the done thing and since there didn't seem to be any normal bars open at 5am those skanky strip joints seemed like a fair enough option .... Man I was wrong! Still ... at least I wasn't pack raped as I wandered back to the hotel... (Apologies for bad taste)

I'm pretty sure the expression on my face looked something akin to Steve's in the above photo as I watched other unfortunates copping the Non Alcoholic beer scam. Man that must've been a quality hangover the next day Steve?!
Any quality scam/stripclub stories people?

Posted by: coco at April 25, 2004 11:19 PM

Do it! defect, and you'll never pay for beer again. :)

Hey Steve
I hope that tasted better than it looked. PEACEOUT!

Posted by: Brian at April 27, 2004 8:23 AM

once again, Steve managed to top his last performance at Jade Monkey last year. it was unfortunate that there were a few chairs in the audience who no longer wanted to be a part of the evening, but them's the breaks i guess.

let's hope the owner has talked the rest of them out of doing anything that could potentially do themselves harm.
