goodbye dirty red suitcase

suitcase.jpg

This here suitcase did me well but the zipper finally broke, so I threw the baby out with the ocean water before I left to the east coast. I feel it is only appropriate to rid myself of this container of clothes and merch. I loved this suitcase but they usually only last a year. I am crying over the loss but I will get over it. I have a new black one that I bought at Marshall's for only 50 buckaroos.

Maybe when I tossed out the old case I was also tossin' out the curse of The Bambino for the Sox as well. Last night was truly amazing to watch. I don't think we will ever see something like this again in our lifetime. No baseball team had ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win a series and to do it against the mighty Yanks was awesome. Hats off to Westy and Dr. Leach et al. How can the World Series top this? Lets just wait and see. Remember that the curse won't be lifted until the Red Sox actually win the whole damn thing.

Goodbye red suitcase and perhaps...goodbye curse.

dear steven:

thank you for finally getting rid of that damn red suitcase. you never had any clothes in it anyway.

you may be interested to know that dennis deyoung's "come sail away" is on the new me first and the gimme gimmes record 'ruin jonny's bar mitzvah.' of course, this version pales in comparison to your rendition.

i'll miss you this weekend.

screw the yankees...

GO RED SOX!

Congratulations are in order, Mr. P. The Sox rocked my pants to my ankles... I am shivering in me boots now. I pictured your awe-stricken, smiling face all the while. I will enjoy rooting the Sex Rods; that is, rooting the Red Sox to victory! and Thanks for the nod to old B'way during your inspired performance at Java Joe's. It may have made all the difference in the World Series.

Sorry, friends...Cards all the way, but what a great ride for the Sox! Gotta hand it to them, they made giant strides toward ending the curse...but it ain't gonna happen yet.

And I think every band worth its salt covers Styx at one time or another. When is their tribute album coming out, and are you gonna be on it? I think a Poltz version of Mr. Roboto would sell millions!

Hi Steve,

I was there when you did the opening for Jewel's first concert in Singapore a couple of years back. You are truly amazing! I am glad to find this site!

Just want to say, cool photo. Like the 'noise' in it. Looks like it was shot with 800 ISO film - but it's digital. The colors are dull and dirty looking... Good to see ya using Photoshop :-) Very, very cool.
