GMC

gmc.jpg

I am so glad in my life I finally got to see the GMC ad. It has been since 1918 since we were allowed to see the commercial. What a curse I have had to deal with. They kept showing this stupid baseball game of two teams hogging the spotlight from GMC. This crap could have never happened without the sponsorship of a wonderful car company. I hate it that baseball gets in the way. Curse schmruse. My friends Westy and Dr. Leach kept interrupting my car commercials with their gin sotted phone calls of baseball lore.

I hope Bush wins the election so I can have something to complain about. I still haven't received my absentee ballot from San Diego. I think Arnold is trying to keep this musician from voting. I mean, I applied for the absentee ballot 4 weeks ago. Now they tell me I have to have it back at the registrars office by 8 pm on Tuesday. It is costing me 50 bucks to vote via Fed Ex.

Congrats Boston Red Sox!!!!!!

this just in.....idiot!!!

now is the time to dump manny and get a real lef fielder. manny is a liability. his offense is not worth the runs he costs the red sox....i said runs.

pedro is a dick if he signs with the yankees and he will be destroyed if this happens...you think his english is bad now???

congrats to westerberg and every other sox fan out there. i still wish there was a reaction shot of that jeter dude or the guy they call a-rod. overpaid idiots!

go and buy elvis costello's new record 'delivery man.' you will not be sorry.

this has been brought to you by gmc trucks....grrrrr.

Posted by: mitch at October 28, 2004 12:35 AM

who are pedro and manny? elvis is nothing more than a delivery boy for al pacino in godfather 2.

dear freddy mercury:

elvis rules. both presley and costello. did you know english girls are pretty when they play guitar? i didn't think so. manny is the idiot that made all the red sox errors. pedros is the guy that boston is going to hand to steinbrenner (that idiot) so they can attempt to beat the red sox.

the real question is...does hamm deserve the gold medal? of course not. it was a math error...like i make everday at spike lee tv. do the right thing and vote tuesday. have you heard that not funny joke that republicans are to vote november 3rd? soooo funny and sooo creative. kerry is going to save the world. he has all the answers and he is going to get the french to join our cause...this guy is a genius. why didn't anyone ever think of that before?

also, everyone (including my friend dana pertussin) should consider checking out badly drawn boy's new record 'one plus one is one.' it's fabulous.

how pimp are the red sox. people???? they won 8 straight! 8!! who has done that before? a-rod? no...jeter? haha...no. those idiots are too busy hanging at the fem clubs. wait....did you all notice that there were no clapping jeters in the world series? talk aboot good for baseball. there no slappys either. wow, baseball at its finest.

i leave you with this. pick up a tammy wynette record. anything that she did with george jones is a keeper. damn, that shite is good.

peace and power to the working people.

i love you all...unless your name is derek jeter or alex rodriguez.

Posted by: dirk at October 28, 2004 12:53 AM

why can't you just enjoy this freakin' world series boy? do you know how hard it is to win one punk? well... do ya????

you are lucky you even have a job at mtv you little pansy.

tammy wynette was an enabler to kenny stabler.

Enough the both of you. Enough, enough, enough. Let's move away from politics (fingers crossed for John Kerry) and let's move away from baseball (congrats Red Sox). This here is about music. Music is about life and God Bless those who play and create music. God bless Montreal as well. Anybody here been to Montreal. i just got back. Life is short and let's live it to the fullest. Raise a glass.

Screw music and screw monrteal. I hope Celine Dion sings at our innaguaration.

Posted by: dick cheney at October 28, 2004 1:18 AM

well, well. this is intriguing. you idiots. you should be more stoked that the red sox just won the world series...it's really the u.s. series, but still. they won!! damon is my homeboy! the passion of johnny. yeah westy!

dude, this site is addictive. i found it through bomis...where they have all the good porno sites. anyway, this steve guy seems really down to earth. a real people person. he probably drives a mini van and has a wife and a few kids.

have you ever heard of rex hobart? he rules. he's on bloodshot records. robbies fulks used to be on that there label that has the waco bros. who have a scottish singer...if im not mistaken....that complains aboot bush too much. well, bloodshot is legit.

how aboot the red sox? westy!!!!! westy!!!!!

peeeeedro....who is your daddy? oh...i guess it isn't the yankees. it seems that they watched the 4 game sweep from their hotel rooms while cheeting on their wives,

tell alex chilton i say hello. he really does rule.

have you ever heard of the greylocks? carence is their lead singer and they fucking rule the mutha fucking school. you and me and your sunglassed heart...

john kerry is so cool. did you hear that jon bon jovi is in his corner? that kin dof makes me want to vote for him. i hear he has some other celebs behind him too. wow!!! he like knows celebs!!! that is so neat. i think ashlee simpson is cool. one word for her...nexium. the purple pill.

have a great night. keep in mind...the red sox won the muthafucking world series. the curse is no more.. there never was a curse.

poo on the yankees.

the red sox are the world champs!!!!

sincerely,
bill buckner

Posted by: duane reade at October 28, 2004 1:32 AM

The curse is over indeed. Hurray. Baseball is again a sport that is interesting to watch. I used to watch baseball but than I discovered girls and rock n' roll. Needless to say, sports took a backseat in my life. It was nice to be revitalized this fall - the baseball was great. And to win a hundred bucks. That's what I bet with my friend and that's what I have coming to me. I've never loved Ben Franklin so much as when he hits my palm and makes me smile. What should I do with a hundred dollars? It's Manhattan so it won't be in my palm for very long. Long live rock n' roll. God bless you all who listen to music passionately and have your secret gems that make you so very happy. My gems right now are as follows:

Ray Charles - The Genius Of
The Pixies - Doolittle
Joseph Arthur - Our Shadows Will Remain
Rene Lopez - www.renelopezmusic.com
The Quick - www.the-quick.com

spread the love.

are you aware that dana lives in virginia and westerberg lives in boston.

if you're ever in nyc, check out soho steak on thompson street.

have you ever seen sean carey?

by the way.... jeff buckley was probably not murdered, but elliott smith and kurt cobain were both murdered.

even though bruce springsteen thinks john kerry can save the world, he can't. why does everfyone think he can save the world with his empty promises. what has he done in the mass senate? exactly. nobody knows. instead of bragging aboot what he has done in the us senate, he hasn't been able to talk about anything he has accomplished....it's just generic finger pointing that everyone already knew.

the palm trees grow real tall down south california.

i miss you. get ready to vote tuesday. idiots!!!

mitch is right. The new Elvis disc is GREAT. I cannot stop listening to it.

I bought a Nick Drake CD the other day. His voice is purdy. But don't listen while you're driving. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I am glad the Cardinals lost. Poo on them and their Bus(c)h-loving fans.

Posted by: Frag at October 28, 2004 5:43 AM

Yeah, I know The Greylocks, they do rock and Carence is great, but did you ever see the bass player jorge? I love when he wears that scarf on stage. It gives me chub. I'm pretty.

Posted by: john edwards at October 28, 2004 7:46 AM

This site concerns me.

I don't know who The Greylocks are.

Did you hear how John Kerry is going to put an end to all the types of lawsuits that made his running mate rich? Now that is brilliant. He seems so magically delicious. He has my vote.

Sincerely,
Jerry

Posted by: concerned at October 28, 2004 9:15 AM

Look, will everyone just leave me alone now? You got your damn championship so it's high tyme I get some rest now. Look, I'm a Broadway Musical guy from waaaaaaaaay back. We're talking late 19th century back. Heck, truth be told, "Our American Cousin" is still a favorite of mine, no disrespect to the Lincoln family.

So I wanted to produce "No No Nanette." Big deal! It has catchy medlies, some nice dance numbers, and a plucky can-do message that leaves everyone feeling just a little bit better than when they woke up that morning. But I didn't have the cash. I'm dealing with a little thing called World War I at the time. Hell-ooooo!! A bloody WORLD WAR was happening. You think cash is falling off trees when the Huns are on the run?

So anyway, Babe was a pain in my ass then and he's a pain in my ass now. You know what he was good for? Whoring. Whoring and boozing. By the time I got rid of him, he added as much to the team as those drunk Irish gadflies down in the south side. So I figure, I can't win- get rid of Fattie, put on my play, and maybe hook up with some of those dancing girls (don't tell Ms. Frazee or there'll be hell to pay).

Next thing I know, the entire city of Boston is treating me like a steaming pile of horse dung roasting away on Comm Ave. What kind of thanks is that?? The good people of Baltimore didn't make that kind of fuss when I bought him from them- where's the fire?

You think just because you die, you don't hear about stuff like that. Well, you do, and I haven't had a decent R in P since I kicked it.

So you got what you wanted, now please leave me alone.

Very Truly Yours,

Mr. Harry Frazee

Posted by: Harry Frazee at October 28, 2004 9:17 AM

please mr. yankee owner

do not sign that cockhead pedro. let him stay in bean town, or better yet, let the colorado rockies pick him up. real classy hitting that dude on the back with his glove after being thrown out at home.

Posted by: a concerned yanks fan at October 28, 2004 9:39 AM

good to hear from you harry.

you def have cred for all the boston namechecking. good job.

what is with this arafat business and him going to a paris hospital? stupid french terrorists! osama is probably staying at the victoria palace hotel on the blaise-desgoffe. have we looked there yet?

i heard there was a lunar eclipse last night.

let it be known...that nadertrader site is idiotic. why do the dems want to push him out? don't they believe in having choices? don't they believe in our republic having democracy? it almost feels like they don't have confidence in the guy they nominated. it seems to me that if he were a strong enough candidate, it wouldn't matter how many other people were running in the election. maybe they should have come up with a better choice. maybe everyone should not have jumped on the kerry bandwagon after he won 3 states in the primary. maybe bush's position is one of the toughest spots a president has ever been in and it's easy to be a backseat driver and say how you could have made it better.

why isn't michael moore concerned about the freedom of having choices and letting whoever wants to run do their thing.

eddie vedder put it brilliantly when he said just vote for kerry and we'll get to nader's agenda on november 3rd. what?

here is one thing we can all agree on...
it was nice not to have to see clappy and slappy in the world series.

lets let politics come between us.

Oh, I can namecheck Boston without a problem. I know that place better than Babe knew the brothels along the Fens. There's not a street in that city that right now isn't being tread upon by ten people that hate me.

dear duane:

mr. reade, the red sox are, in fact, not the world champs, as you said earlier, but the u.s. champs. you're contracockting yourself again.

I am hereby declaring my candidacy for el capitan of 48 of the united states. I am not interested in trying to tame anyone in south dakota or here in texas. these people are idiots. I already have one write-in vote. if elected, I promise to swear to never do nothin' bad.

and I don't have a lot of money for my campaign, so this will be grass roots, people. I'm campaigning by megaphone. and I'm looking into this internet thing. sounds cool.

thanks for your vote and I will see you on the campaign trail. or saturday at a bar.

Posted by: billie harvee at October 28, 2004 10:29 AM

I will not vote for any man what hails from a state that used to be a country. If you're not hearty enough to preserve your own republic, you sure as hell ain't overseeing mine.

Posted by: cheroo at October 28, 2004 10:45 AM

my bad. I hereby withdraw my candidacy. please vote for iron maiden.
