My day as a rockstar

me n pilot bob.jpg
The other night I played a show in Pioneertown ( Joshua Tree) with Billy Harvey
and then we came home to my parent's house for 2 a.m. lasagna. My mama maka da good lasagna. Then we had rocky road ice cream. My mom is in love with Billy.
Then I woke up early and 94.1 the radio station with Jeff and Jer sent a
private plane to pick me up in Palm Springs and fly me to San Diego to be on
the morning show. They sent a limo to the airport and whisked me in to the
station to sing and then sent me back to the desert in time to have
breakfast with Billy and my Mom and Dad.

The pilot of the plane was so funny. He was poet named Bob who recited me
dirty poems and ant- war poems and love poems and old folk songs. He told me he had crashed 3 planes and that he would be in the bar waiting for me.
One time he said he forgot to lower the landing gear. My heart was beating so fast I felt like a hummingbird. Good times!
More later gator.

You are the groviest of all Rock Stars, just don't be soooo groovy that you will be playing Carnigie Hall the night of my living room concert!

Love the pic. Don't let the star treatment go to that pretty head of yours. With you living in and being a Californian(so to speak), you're a true gem...the real deal in a sea of fakes. Refreshing. Thank you for that. Happy trails to you.

I've just been catching up on some Poltz, and a while back you asked- Would you download the whole album or just the odd song? Well I'm an old skool gal who loves the joy of unwrapping a new cd from the shrink wrap, and devouring every square inch of the cd booklet, then giving it a good sniff... Aaahh!! That plasticy smell!! Then popping the disk on and humming along as i read the lyrics with the song...You get all your senses fired up in a frenzy of musical bliss!! If you love an artist or the odd song, then show them appreciation by buying the album proper. itunes will be the death of the music soul. Mark My Words. Rant over.

Did you tell your mom that she's going to have to fight approximately 73.4% of the women in the universe for Billy's affections?

I hope you saved me some lasagna.

Hi Steve,

My husband Greg and I were on vacation in San Diego and caught your interview on the radio. We left that Saturday, the day of your show and we were sorry we couldn't attend your show.

You sounded great on the radio!

Hope you are doing well.

Love ,

I see you're up there frontiering your Way. Sounds like the landing gear made it into position alright. Don't ever do a buddy holly and go looking for a pilot in a bar :} Lots of pilots out there who are so in love with flying they forget about the booze. Happy condensation trails flyman.

frag-
could you reveal the quantitative reasoning used to come up with the 73.4%? just curious...i have my own opinion. :)

LuCKy, two of MY favs in one day! Palm Springs AND Jeff & Jer...I'm can't even put into words how envious I am. I'm an O'side native who listened to Jeff & Jer back in the day of STAR100.7 & I miss them, but I have my vintage Jeff & Jer bobbleheads w/me here in Phx now(good Rythym Room show!). Palm Springs just isn't the same w/o the Icehouse mmmmburgers.
