Greetings from Slovenia

slovenia.jpg

Greetings to everyone from Slovenia. Ljubljana to be exact.
Beautiful pace in a beautiful time.
I added a show in London on the 18th of July at The 12 Bar Club.
My only European date. The rest is just R&R.
Headed to Split in Croatia.
Here's a song I made up today.
Love,
S

Listen Here!

I could while away the hours
In the light of higher powers
And I try not to complain
Just to sing a soft refrain
I know itís days like these for sure
Make me feel like life is pure

Let the wind blow back my hair
Where this train goes I donít care
I feel like Iím hypnotized
Maybe I just realized
This moment I can freeze
In this Slovenia breeze

Thereís a castle on the hill
I can hear them ring a bell
The fightingís done
but you can feel
Thereís lots of scars
left still to heal
I wish that days like these could last
And never fade into the past

Let the wind blow back my hair
Where this train goes I donít care
I feel like Iím hypnotized
Maybe I just realized
This moment I can freeze
In this Slovenia breeze

the lake is calling from afar
hitch a ride in some strange car
broken English canít be wrong
when itís mxed in with a song
I know itís days like these for sure
Make me feel like life is pure

Let the wind blow back my hair
Where this train goes I donít care
I feel like Iím hypnotized
Maybe I just realized
This moment I can freeze
In this Slovenia breeze

gorgeous!!!!!!

a feast for my grateful eyes and ears.

your inspiration in exotic lands is unmistakably eloquent! :)

"The fightingís done
but you can feel
Thereís lots of scars
left still to heal
I wish that days like these could last
And never fade into the past"

these lines brought to mind...
"Don't strip off my bark - I have been stripped of it before
Yesterday's gone and tomorrow has so much more in store "

may the sights, sounds, breezes, and undeniable history forge their beautiful mark on you. relish each and every moment.

safe travels,

Hey man, I remember coming to see you play at Kelly's, with my submarine buds. My roomies were really into you guys. We would play pool and then stay to watch you tear down curtains.

We hired you guys in 1993 to play at our party for our room-mates getting back from WESTPAC. You fell asleep in the elevator, but played in the morning. You were right that the smartest thing we did was roll up the rugs...

Miss Sand Dog, OB pier, etc.

I shouldn't have started reading the lyrics before I listened to the song. Once I saw "I could while away the hours", all that keeps running thru my head is "If I Only Had a Brain" from Wizard of Oz. Now I have to erase MY brain & start all over.

it must have been a morning for rhymes across the world.
when the healin' is done, the scars forever remind us that things have changed. sometimes for the better. other times it's just a bitchin' scar with an embellished story.

be safe and inspired!

Great song Steven, beautiful words and wonderful melody. Your hat makes you look like one of the locals, or like a good looking Hungarian where your Grandparents come from. Love, ManPa

With that cap you could also be an Italian country
boy. The land where your grandparents on your mother's side came from. What a mixture, eh what? Love, ManPa

I hear good things about Hvar Island...

The Quiet Party Island?

Said to be one of the most beautiful islands in the world, Hvar can be both a peaceful haven to retreat to and do nothing but chill or a non-stop party from twilight till dawn. The water is flawless blue and the atmosphere is relaxed. Located on the southwestern end of Hvar island, the town of Hvar is the most popular destination on the island, largely due to its party atmosphere.

With an easy-going vibe, this is the place to unwind in the sunshine and forget about the stresses of everyday life, something which is easy to do when in the sunniest place in Europe. A playground for Italian holiday-makers for some years, Hvar is still fairly undiscovered and quiet by other "party-island" standards, but don't let that mislead you into thinking Hvar doesn't know how to have fun.

great colors indeed! and the chicken of peace is a nice touch! It sure is great to see the spectrum of your whit on display... Peace in Slovenia + Cat puke = Beautiful.

oh to be a bird on this trip must be heavenly.
