New York City Tonight

frag foto op inc.

We go on at 11 pm sharp. Hope to see you at The Living Room in NYC.
We played in Piermont last night for over 2 and a half hours at The Turning Point. John (the owner) recorded the show. We think he's the cat's pajamas. He fed us and did our sound and let us play for hours.

We play Boston tomorrow night (Sunday) at The Paradise Lounge. Then we shoot back to NYC early the next day to make a video for the song "Rains." We want it to involve hamsters. Do you have any ideas? I think we want the hamster to eat me up and poo me out while the whole time I am singing the song. I also want it to be raining hamsters. Kind of like in the movie Magnolia. Except in that instance it was frogs raining.

We want the hamsters to be in love though and trying to ind each other. Listen to the song "Rains" and give me some of your strangest ideas. But you must act now as we shoot on Monday. We will have full access to green screen and a cool editor and full crew. Then we are off to play a show in Brooklyn that night at Union Hall.

Help us quick, Help us to help you. Let's help each other and fix stuff so it works.
See you tonight at The Living Room at 11pm.

Awesome show last night at The Living Room and I cd indulged myself:

- One Left Shoe => Leavin' Again I can't say how much I love, and I'm sure the rest is good...
- Chinese Vacation => awesome and happy to own it now...
- Traveling and Unraveling => double fun marsupial trouble...

p.s. looking forward to seeing you guys live again at Union Hall!!!

p.s.s. you rock with the Truckee Brothers as well of course solo, and I was glad you all mixed it up that way!!!

p.s. The couple sitting next to me were at their first Steve show. I told them how awesome you were live, and by the time your set was halfway through I asked them what they thought, and of course they agreed with my opion above. And as I do love and appreciate how you have your serious music side alongside your hilarious music side, they did to!!!

I like the visuals of you walking through and by big beautiful real/animated trees where hamsters are dancing around to this song "Rains", and raindrops are dropping in different shapes...

I like hamsters, hamsters are cute... I had them as pets as a girl...

I love the idea of riding "fluffy" how about start off in the woods with the cynics camping out with some gear as though your touring through the woods. Fluffy and friends tied up like horses. The opening guitar wakes you up and its starting to rain. (for every triangle "ting" a hamster drops a little tiny turd in the background) You all mount your hamsters and begin to ride through the woods. Then it starts to get fuzzy because your having a flash back or forward of a girl in a crowd in a show you've played that your missing and its how you met and just had one of those eye staring moments with. Flashing back all the time to you and the cynics riding through the woods then camera zooms out and tracks your current tour with a big map picture of you all and the hamsters bopping across the country/world. While riding as the song goes you stop at a show in the middle of the song "I'm still lying awake beside you 1:48" your at a show and you and the cynics are rockin out playing "rain" and you see the girl in real time in the crowd. Your getting happy you've found your dream girl but just after you make eye contact you realize the crowd are all hamsters and you look back at her and she's one too. Now your bummed and riding around on tour again. You flash to a couple of short clips of the tour and riding the hamsters across the country and you end at the last show of the tour and she's there in the crowd and you start feakin out and jump into the crowd (surfing if you will). You land down next to her just as the end of the song pause happens "the rain is falling all over town" then as the music picks up you and her run out the back door of the show with you and her mounting hamsters and you both ride off into the sunset as the song fades

MelisSa's idea of your equipment all being powered by hamsters made me laugh. Maybe it's a workplace romance and two hamsters are in love across a crowded stage.

I hope no hamsters are actually going to be harmed in the making of this video.

Unless they are mean, smelly or ugly ones, than that's okay.

If you take this video opportunity & make it about hamsters eating & crapping you back out, I will never forgive you... and will possibly... maybe... consider turning into a tree lobber (as opposed to a tree hugger).

I shall allow a hamster or two to make a cheeky cameo, but THAT'S IT! Draw the line, and if a hamster crosses that line - off with his hamshead!!!
