My Life is Complete (I made MLB.COM!!!!)

mlb-logo.jpg

You guys know how much I love the game of beisbol. I live for it and drink it and breathe it and it's the first thing I look for in the morning when I fire up my computer. I constantly check scores and even downloaded the new application for my phone that lets me see video updates instantly. To put it simply, I'm obsessed. Most of my conversations with my pal Westy are about beisbol and scores and news and highlights. ( By the way- Happy belated 40th Westy on Aug 15th!)

So I get a call from a very cool writer for mlb.com named Doug Miller. He was referred to me by Tim Bluhm of The Mother Hips. How cool is that? Tim Bluhm tells Doug that he needs to talk to his beisbol crazy friend about his passion for the game. So Doug calls me and here is the article.

Here's what the front page looks like.

I am grinning ear to ear and sending out massive thanks to Doug Miller.

Utah was amazing. Snowbird is beautiful in the summer and I wil be back for more shows in the Beehive State and its amazing Wasatch Mountain Range.

I am off to Toronto.
Here is an article previewing the Toronto show.
Thanks again,
Steve

Yayyyy for you!!

It's really hard to watch the Tigers at the moment (story of our life), so Bill has adopted your pa's team. How do you feel about maple bats?

Not a baseball fan myself. But super congrats on the mlb article!!! Though I am a obsessed chocoholic so I can relate to your obsession with baseball!!! Oh and I hope you took a float on the Salt Lake eating or not eating a chocolate cupkake.

Oh the Eloquent beauty of fate...

So I was being sketched today and on comes a TV special on the history of Fado music. Mariza was the main focus, since she is being credited with helping it back into the limelight of the world music scene (it doesn't hurt that she's absolutely gorgeous). So I thought Steve will like this music. Check her at http://www.myspace.com/fadomariza

Also while being sketched, I learned a little more than the average birdy about BTK on a THS serial killer profile 2 hour special, man he was off the mental hook for sure!!!

Poltz & Page performing patriotic pastiche prior to Padres playing at Petco Park -Phenomenal!

Good for you Poltzy. MLB did a nice job on the article. Looking forward to seeing your skinny ass back here in Nova Scotia soon... Oh, was great seeing Burnett turn in an awesome pitching performance yesterday as the Jays beat the hated Yankees (with more than a little help from Johnny Damon, hahaha). Have fun tonight at the Blacksheep Inn, it's a cool place...

Watch out for the wandering shepherds, I hear they like to corral traveling musicians into their herd!!!

It woulda been really cool if you'd have mentioned Doug Gwosdz.

Posted by: Rev. Spankalot at August 21, 2008 6:56 PM

Toronto sounds like it would have been cool. Good to see your passion for the game is still alive and things are going well for you. I've gotta get me to a game one day.
