Keeping the music in schools

gitgit.jpg

Returning to San Diego tomorrow. I'm playing a benefit to keep music in schools. This is a charity event to support the Bonsall Education Foundation to fund district-wide music programs that were cut by the California state budget crisis. More information about the event is available here. Tickets for Bonsallpalooza are available at the Bonsall Certified Farmer's Market which is located at the Bonsall Community Center on Old River Road in Bonsall. Get discounted tickets ($30) for this show by emailing: concert@bonsallschools.org with the subject line: Serve Me My Food. The show starts at 8pm

Do something good for once in your fucking lives. You'll be able to tell your friends you give to charity and they'll think you're all philanthropisty. You'll be more sexually attractive to the same or opposite sex. ( whatever you're into ---including animals)

Don't let me down. I'm counting on you. I never ask you for favors but this time I am. I'll hate you forever if you don't show up. 30 bucks is a small amount to make sure we keep churning out weirdos who play music.

Christily yours,
Steve

Although I'm a big supporter of keeping music in schools, I really don't think it's possible for me to make it to San Diego tomorrow....Stupid work! I will be there in spirit, and if there is a way to donate the $30 for the cause, I would be very happy to do so.

It would really suck to be hated by Steve Poltz forever.

Big Fun!

Did you deliberately form your hands to create the same spacing between your fingers, or is that just a result of your natural yogic balance? You're so symmetrical, Steve.

Yummy mustache, Steve!

Posted by: Maureen at August 10, 2009 10:25 AM

Steve,
You were incredible at Bonsallpalooza. Thank you so much for all the support you've shown the kids of Bonsall who love music as much as you do. We'll be sure follow you now on tour.
Much gratitude,
Kim

Posted by: Janice at August 15, 2009 12:05 AM

Is that pubic hair on your upper lip?

Posted by: iwasjustwondering at August 18, 2009 10:02 AM

THAT'S NOT FAIR! i would have gone if i knew. next time post it on your myspace too. or blog it or bulletin it. it is a totally worthy cause. i have my teaching credential and couldn't go through with teaching cuz i was spending all my money on supplies, even paper towels so kids could dry their hands after washing them, so it is muy importante that we keep music at the top of the list of school supplies!!!!! right brain, left brain, math, music, connection.

Posted by: pegasus peg at August 22, 2009 12:23 AM

Sorry you missed the show Peg, but it was posted on myspace, it was twittered, and it was listed in the "On With the Shows" section. Now lets get back to some more serious disScussion, like what Steve should do about his mustache. ;)

Posted by: Tussy at August 22, 2009 4:19 AM

HA! love to Tussy.
Dang Steve, you should transfer that buzz-making power from you mustache to the health care debate. Oh wait... :)

Did you have any idea that your facial coiffing tendencies would cause such a stir? You're celebrity up there with the Rev. Jesse Jackson and *I* know. I like it (as if it matters what ANY of us think); you're poised for your film debut as Doc Holiday. ;)

HOORAY for the return of comments. i was feeling suppressed.

Curno, in provincia di Bergamo, viene scelta come sede italiana e come trampolino di lancio del primo punto vendita. Negli anni, coerentemente all’evoluzione dell’azienda, anche il sito si è sviluppato, ampliandosi e crescendo molto. Nel 1999 nasce "Media World Compra on-line", Media World è pioniere del settore nell'e-commerce. Ottobre 1991: apre il primo punto vendita Media World a Curno (BG).

Of course, the first and most important government expenditure to suspend is subsidies to businesses. The only reason for ANY subsidy to a business is the hope that eventually the benefit will trickle down to employees. In our capitalist system businesses should succeed or fail on their own. Yet we repeatedly grant tax subsidies and outright gifts to various businesses and business organizations. In California we try to bribe movie companies to stay in the state with 100s of millions of dollars, and other states bribe them too, in a useless waste of tax money by all states. 50 years ago we didn't have these local budget problems and we had swimming pools, libraries, transit systems, etc., but then we decided that every expenditure had to run through some company. Privatization is killing us.

Dissimilar to stock investing that can require constant supervising of futures the whole day to help capitalize upon intraday volatility, long-run buying and selling may be completed correctly having a every week monitoring process. This tactic is usually individual bankruptcy much much less stressful as compared to seeing rates constantly every day.
